The rapper and actress made it clear she did not approve of Nicki Minaj’s new Paper Magazine cover during the CBS talk show on Wednesday, November 15.
.
.
Her words: “I worked with Nicki, I got to know her on ‘Barbershop’… she’s a nice person, she’s an amazing rapper, and as a lyricist I respect her… but as a woman, from my point of view, personally, I would not be able to do that.
.
.
I think in this climate, it’s not good. I think every artist has a right to express themselves however they want to express themselves and I respect that as well. .
.
For me personally, as I started coming up in the business, I started realizing that young girls were looking up to me and younger people were looking up to me, and that, not that you want to be a role model, but it becomes what you become, it is what you are.
.
.
As I’ve gotten older … I’d just rather be a voice that’s uplifting… I can be a voice for those girls that might not have a voice, in a different way without showing myself off … For the Nicki fans, I love her, respect her. Go women in hip hop. It’s not my thing. I just don’t think it’s right. Personally. Period. That’s it.”
Bola Tinubu has said the Goodluck Jonathan administration won a gold medal in corruption.
.
.
Tinubu said this on Thursday during a book presentation in Abuja. According to him: “The prior government used the public treasury as a private hedge fund or a charity that limited its giving only to themselves. So much money grew feet and ran away faster than Usain Bolt ever could. .
.
That which could have been spent on national development was squandered in ways that would cause the devil to blush. One minister and her rogues’ gallery picked the pocket of this nation for billions of dollars. .
.
While poor at governance, these people could give a master thief lessons in the sleight of hand. In governance, they earned a red card but in corruption, they won the gold medal. .
.
It was not that our institutions had become infected by corruption. Corruption has become institutionalized. We have much to do to combat this disease. Not only must we track down the takers. .
.
In the long term, we must review the salaries of public servants and create universal credits for our people to reduce temptation. Before this government came into being, Boko Haram wreaked havoc on a daily basis. .
.
They hoisted their dreadful flag. Today, that evil flag is not planted over an inch of our precious land. This violent scourge recedes into the darkened shadows of inhumanity from whence it came. .
.
People once under its horrid dominion now breathe the air of freedom and safety. Boko Haram has not been completely defeated. But there is no question, that it has been decimated and made shorter and weaker.
.
.
This is no accident. It is the result of the policies and commitment of President Buhari, his government and the men and women of our armed forces who place their lives on the line in silent heroism to protect this nation and its people.
.
.
Had the previous government remained in place, Boko Haram would have surely eaten more territory and devoured more people. This nation might have indeed been divided and cut asunder, not by choice but by the knife of terrorism."
Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku has said he regrets bleaching, according to a report by AdomNews.
The boxer who had been flaunting his heavily bleached skin some months back had admitted that he was bleaching to become Ghana’s ambassador to Germany.
“I am bleaching myself for German people to know that German people and Bukom Banku are one…. So if you see me now, you will observe that I am from Germany. I want Ghanaians to know that I am a German now,” he said.
But, after going at it for months now, he had now advised people not to bleach because of the adverse consequences.
Banku gave the advice while chatting with Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Wednesday, October 25. Banku said he was inspired by the fairer skin of musicians such as Michael Jackson and Daddy Lumba, but has now realized bleaching is not a good thing and regrets it.
“I stopped bleaching long ago. You know Daddy Lumba and Michael Jackson were looking nice and I admired them so I also started bleaching and people started praising me…they called me ‘Banku Fresh’ and the likes and I was happy but after I stopped bleaching the name changed to ‘Banku black, banku dirty’.
I now fear Ghanaians because the same people who will praise you are the same people who will turn around and insult you. I want to tell Ghanaians that bleaching is not good even if you give me $10,000.000 million, I won’t bleach,” Bukom told Bola Ray.
Banku, a former WBO Africa Cruiserweight champion suffered a humiliating defeat to former Ghana Amateur boxing team captain, Bastie Samir in the cruiserweight non-title bout held at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra on Saturday, 21 October 2017.
A popular Kano based Roman Catholic priest who was kidnapped last year, Father Gospel .J. Inalegwu, has “resigned” from priesthood, sending a wave of shock across the church.
Sunday Sun gathered that Father Gospel .J. Inalegwu had since tendered his resignation letter to the Bishop of Kano Diocese, Most Rev. John Namawzah Niyiring and had traveled out of the state with all his belongings.
A priest of the Catholic Church who decried his action, said the Church was yet to recover from the shock of his unprecedented action.
He offered that the affected priest might have been affected by the trauma of his abduction, adding however that, “there could be other personal reasons behind his action”.
We however learnt that after the priest regained freedom, he was granted a period of rest, but was eventually asked to resume at his old parish contrary to his expectation, as we learnt that he had anticipated to be posted elsewhere.
The Communications Director, Kano Diocese, Father Augustine Nnadi declined comment on the development, but His Lordship, the Bishop of Kano Diocese, Most Rev. John Namawzah Niyiring told us that, “Priests do not resign as they do in the public service, but are laicized”
While confirming that Father Inalegwu was no longer available for his pastoral assignments in the diocese, he maintained that the only authority that could process the request of a priest wishing to return to a lay status was the Holy Father, the Pope.
Asked if he had tried to talk to the priest, he replied: “Yes I did that. I had some discussions with him to try to persuade him not to do what he is doing. I think he probably wants something else.”
The Bishop went further to debunk insinuations that the priest’s action was informed by his abduction experience, insisting that, “ Long before his kidnap saga, he had voiced out his desire to do what he did. And we have a record of that”
The Benue born Catholic priest, who was kidnapped at his parish at St Joseph Catholic Church, Jitan – Dutse, in Tudun Wada Local Government Council, Kano State, was ordained in Kano State in 2013.
Nigerian rapper, Babalola Falemi, popularly known as Sauce Kid, is to spend the next two years in an American prison for stealing $15,388.
Law enforcement agents caught up with him as he wanted to board a flight at Boise Airport in Idaho, United States of America.
Falemi was said to have obtained stolen bank card numbers and identified information from their owners. He then encoded the account numbers onto blank plastic cards.
Authorities said that after using an automated system to change account PINs, he was able to withdraw cash from bank ATMs and bought merchandise from stores between July 23 and 26, 2016.
He reportedly pleaded guilty to one of the counts of aggravated identity theft.
In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed the other counts, reports said.
Senior U.S. District Judge, Mr. Edward J. Lodge, also placed him on one year of supervised release after he might have served his prison term.

All of the transactions took place at Boise ATMs owned by Idaho Central Credit Union and at Albertsons stores in Meridian, court documents alleged.
Zimbabwe’s first lady Grace Mugabe was under investigation by South African police Tuesday after she allegedly used an extension cord to assault a model in a Johannesburg hotel.
The alleged attack threatened to spark a major diplomatic incident between the two countries, which have strong political and economic ties.
Grace Mugabe, 52, is accused of beating Gabriella Engels, 20, on Sunday evening at the hotel where Mugabe’s two sons were also staying, leaving the victim with injuries to her forehead and the back of her head.
“She hasn’t handed herself over yet. We do not know her whereabouts at this stage,” police national spokesman Vishnu Naidoo told AFP.
Grace Mugabe allegedly arrived at the hotel with bodyguards and accused Engels of partying with her sons Robert and Chatunga, both in their 20s, who live in the South African city.
South African Police Minister Fikile Mbalula had earlier said that Mugabe had turned herself in to officers.
“The minister learned later that it just didn’t materialise as it was supposed to,” Naidoo said.
“As long as we don’t have a suspect in custody, we cannot say when they will appear in court.”
Pictures on social media appeared to show Engels bleeding from her head after the alleged incident at the Capital 20 West Hotel, in the upmarket Johannesburg district of Sandton.
“We were chilling in a hotel room, and (the sons) were in the room next door. She came in and started hitting us,” Engels told the Times Live website.
“The front of my forehead is busted open. I’m a model and I make my money based on my looks.”
Police Minister Mbalula told reporters “in terms of foreign citizens, they must understand they have responsibilities, especially those who hold diplomatic passports.
“I cannot just go to Zimbabwe and beat up people there and then the matter will disappear. We have had to act in the interests of the victim.”
– A future president? –
On Monday, Engels registered a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm with the police.
Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, a provincial minister in South Africa’s Gauteng province, told Jacaranda FM radio that the case should be pursued fully through the courts.
“We hope that it will send a strong message to all leaders who abuse their power and assault innocent people in our country,” she said.
Grace Mugabe, who is 41 years younger than her husband Robert, 93, has two sons and one daughter with the Zimbabwean president.
She regularly speaks at rallies in Zimbabwe and is seen as one possible contender to take over from her increasingly frail husband.
Last month she urged her husband to name his chosen successor, reviving speculation about the race to take over from the world’s oldest national leader.
President Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe since independence from British colonial rule in 1980.
The succession battle is widely expected to pit Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa against a group called “Generation 40” or “G40” because its members are generally younger, and which reportedly has Grace’s backing.
While Grace Mugabe has in the past denied harbouring ambitions to take over from her husband, at other times she has said she would be prepared to serve in any political position.
She has taken on a larger public role in recent years, speaking regularly at meetings to drum up support for the president and heading the women’s league of the ruling ZANU-PF party.
In speeches this year the president has often slurred his words, mumbled and paused for lengthy periods.
His reign has been marked by brutal repression of dissent, mass emigration, vote-rigging and a sharp economic decline since land reforms in 2000.
The Zimbabwe government has so far made no comment on Grace Mugabe’s case.

Here’s how Amazon
stock (briefly) made Jeff Bezos the world’s richest man
Jeff Bezos was
the richest man in the world for a time on Wednesday, with a fortune of over
$90 billion.
According
to Forbes and Bloomberg, the Amazon CEO
had a net worth of over $89 billion as of the close of markets Wednesday,
while Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates had
a net worth of just over $90 billion.
Even
if Bezos didn’t end the day as the richest man, he will likely take the crown
from Gates more permanently in the coming days and weeks.
When
he hits the mark, Bezos, who started selling books from his garage 22 years
ago, becomes the first man to bump Gates from his perch in seven years and is
only the sixth man to hold the “richest person” title in the past 30 years,
according to Forbes.
Bezos’
rise carries important symbolic weight — signaling Amazon’s unbridled power and
value, presenting a new face of outsized wealth to the world and heralding a
new kind of billionaire who is skeptical of philanthropy and has massive reach
in culture, technology and media. Bezos will be a stark contrast to his fellow
Seattle-area resident Gates, who has topped the list for much of the past
quarter-century and devotes his time and money to philanthropy.
What’s
most astounding about Bezos’ rise is his recent wealth surge. He has been a
billionaire for nearly 20 years, first making the Forbes list in 1998 with a
net worth of $1.6 billion after Amazon’s IPO. He chugged along for the
following decade, reaching $4.4 billion in 2007, gradually rising to $18.4
billion by 2012, ranking him 26th on the list.
But
over the past two years, as Amazon’s stock has soared, so has Bezos’ fortune.
He owns 79.9 million shares, or just under 17 percent of the company. His net
worth has grown by $70 billion over the past five years, surging by $45 billion
in the last two years alone — possibly the largest wealth-creation surge in
history.
Of
course, Bezos avoids talking publicly about his wealth. Like most tech tycoons,
he insists he’s trying to change the world rather than get rich. In his
commencement speech at Princeton, Bezos said he had the idea of selling books
on the internet while he was working at a New York hedge fund. Torn between his
high-paying job and a risky start-up, he chose the start-up.
“I
took the less safe path to follow my passion and I’m proud of that choice,” he
said.
Bezos
may not only be the richest man in the world today — he might become the
richest man ever, at least measured in pure dollars. At his peak Gates was
worth $90 billion, marking the largest single fortune ever. With little sign
that Amazon’s momentum may be slowing, Bezos could well be the first 12-digit
man, worth $100 billion one day.
Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has advised men not to ever marry a woman who is financially stronger than them.
According to the actor, ‘fortunately or unfortunately, when women have a lot of money, they tend to be somehow disrespectful.’
Dumelo revealed this on GTV program dubbed ‘What Men Like’, and the
conversation was centered on whether men like dating ladies who are
financially well off.
The actor also went ahead to explain the kind of woman he would love to settle for.
“I just want a woman who is OK but the potential is there to be rich,
for us to be rich together. She’s ambitious, she’s a go getter, and
she’s entrepreneurial. We can get the money together.”
I ask again, CAN YOU MARRY A WOMAN WHO IS RICHER THAN YOU?
The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Friday, declared Port Harcourt, Rivers State as the capital of Biafra republic.
This was revealed by a traditional ruler in the state who addressed the crowd as Kanu stormed Obigbo, in Rivers State.
One of the traditional rulers quoted Kanu as saying that “It’s misleading what people are saying that Rivers State is not part of Biafra, and that Igbos wants to Include Rivers people to Biafra because of their Oil.
According to him, “Mazi Kanu has assured us that (Rivers State) our oil will belong to us, anybody saying that Rivers State is not part of Biafra is a Judas, and that person will be treated like Judas in the Bible.
He further stated that Kanu has assured them that Biafra capital will be located in Rivers State.
Nobel
laureate and playwright, Wole Soyinka, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari
against contesting for Presidency in 2019.
He said
despite his call that Buhari should not contest in 2019, Nigerians must ensure
that the President’s projects like the anti-corruption fight continues.
In a
video, where the playwright was seen addressing some youths, he said, “My view
right now is that Buhari needs to take a rest. I hope he doesn’t put himself up
for Presidency in 2019.
“But that
doesn’t mean that his programs and projects should take a rest.
“People
can be very scornful by saying is it anti-corruption we are going to eat but it
is up to us to see that programmes like the anti-corruption fight is empowered
especially at a time when people are launching books.”
Soyinka’s
call is coming at a time when the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose called
on the President to resign over his
ill-health.
After
initially spending over 50 days on medical vacation in London, the President
had in May returned to the United Kingdom, UK, for
follow-up medical check-up and is yet to return.
Against
the backdrop of his current health status, both his media aides and associates
have continued to assure Nigerians that the President was responding to
treatment.
Despite
the assurance from the Presidency, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose
recently claimed that Buhari has been on life
support since June, an allegation that has been generating heated controversy.
A
16-year-old teenager, Selamat Riayadi, has married a 71-year old widow named
only as Rohaya, after threatening to commit suicide if his family blocked the
marriage.
The
wedding, which took place in their home village of Karangendah in Indonesia,
was officiated by their community leader named Kuswoyo and witnessed by many
guests who screamed and cheered in celebration.
We learnt that Kuswoyo and the groom’s brother gave their permission for the
couple to wed despite their 55 year age gap.
The
marriage is not believed to be motivated by money, as both newlyweds are
equally poor.
Selamat’s
family made a dowry payment to Rohaya’s family of about £11.50 (200,000
Indonesian Rupiah)
A
video of the wedding ceremony shows the young groom put his face in his hands
as the union is proclaimed, his expression unreadable.
His
new wife sits quietly beside him as the wedding guests go wild with delight.
In
Indonesia, men must be at least 19 before they get married, but a loophole in
the law allows for marriage under an individual’s ‘religious norms’.
They
reportedly formed a ‘nikah siri’ marriage according to Islamic laws but not the
state laws.
American rapper, Jay Z has confirmed his mother, Gloria Carter is a lesbian as well as admitting that he had cheated on Beyonce.
The Roc Nation boss made the revelations in his new album, “4:44” that was released in the wee hours of this morning.
The 4:44 album was dropped exclusively on Tidal, a music streaming service owned by Jay Z and some other music artists.
The rapper uses the album, being his 13th studio album to really make some personal revelations.
In it, Jay Z revealed that he cheated on Beyonce and that it affected her and their child, Blue Ivy. He said it took Blue being born for him to realize the value of his marriage.
Addressing the 2014 elevator fight with his sister-in-law Solange, Jay Z confirmed in the “Kill Jay Z” track that she attacked him because he cheated on her sister and refused to acknowledge his fault.
He rapped, “You egged Solange on. Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong.”
Jay Z, however, expressed remorse for cheating on his wife. In the track Family Feud, he makes reference to Becky, a name Beyonce mentioned in one of her songs, “Sorry”, from the Lemonade album when she said, “better call Becky with the good hair.”
Jay Z raps: “Yeah, I’ll f*ck up a good thing if you let me / Let me alone, Becky / A man that don’t take care his family can’t be rich.”
He continued in the track 4:44 “Look, I apologize, often womanize / Took for my child to be born / See through a woman’s eyes / Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles / Took me too long for this song.”
For years, there have been reports that Jay Z’s mother is gay and Jay Z and his mother seem to confirm the reports in the new album.
Among the songs in the album is a track called “Smile.” Jay Z’s mother, Gloria Carter, collaborated with her son on this track and they both seem to be telling the world that Gloria has been a lesbian for years but had to remain in the closet.
Jay Z rapped, “Mama had four kids, but she’s a lesbian. Had to pretend so long that she’s a thespian. Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate…”
Jay Z’s mom who had to raise the rapper and his three siblings on her own, after Jay Z’s dad abandoned them when he was young also recited a poem at the end of the track.
Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan has told Nigeria women that
cheating does not make their male partner a bad person, but only validates him
as a man. The actress said that women should look beyond the flaw of
cheating and focus on the way their men treat them, adding that leaving a man
because he cheats is like relocating from Nigeria to America because it rains
She wrote via her instagram page, “Leaving a
man because he cheats is like relocating from Nigeria to America because of
rain. News flash: it rains everywhere. Find a good man who loves you and
appreciates you. Every other thing can be worked on. Men are naturally born to
cheat. Look beyond this flaw and focus on how he treats you.
“Good morning guys. I read many comments from
my last post and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s funny that it’s women who are
answering for their men that the men don’t cheat on them. My sisters, let the
men answer for themselves. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow.
“You cannot answer for people. I stand by my
position 100%. I know that as a modern woman, we aim to break away from the
norm and be as westernized as possible but believe me, it happens everywhere.
It’s only those who got caught that are referred to as offenders.
“Not
many men can sincerely say they have been with only their partner for 10yrs
without “playing”. It doesn’t make them bad people, it just makes them men.”
Jose Mourinho has told Manchester United to drop their pursuit of
Cristiano Ronaldo () and aim to sign Neymar instead, according to Don Balon. Ronaldo has been linked with a return to Old Trafford, after
reports emerged that he wants to quit Real Madrid this summer.
The 28-year-old threatened to leave Spain,
after he claimed he was being treated like a criminal when authorities launched
a £13m tax probe.
Having worked with Ronaldo in a tense spell at
Madrid, Mourinho is not very keen on reuniting with his compatriot in England
and thinks Neymar will be a better fit in his squad.
Mourinho is also keen on Ronaldo’s team-mate,
Alvaro Morata, as he seeks a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been
released by the Premier League side
Morata
is also keen to leave the Santiago Bernabeu during this transfer window, after
struggling for game time under Zinedine Zidane. He re-signed for Los Blancos
for £26m last year but only started 14 league games, netting 15 goals.

the same school as kidnapper Evan’s kids.
Here is what he wrote:
‘Just found out today, from a
friend of mine who lives 2 houses away from Evans, that Evans kids allegedly go
to the same school as my kids? Can you imagine??
”According to my friend, the
latest 2016/2017 Lexus, like the one pictured above, is what he had allegedly
seen the wife drive several times. He said that his own wife used to wonder how
a woman who couldn’t speak English could drive such an expensive car. He
assumed that he was a successful Igbo trader.’
